The event will see a large number of college students in India fight it out in an online competition to qualify for the final round, where they get to work at Microsoft premises in Gurgaon and compete to find bugs in Microsoft Windows VistaT, the next-generation version of Microsoft Windows expected to ship later this year. The contest comprises of a preliminary quiz round, which will be open till 1st July. The qualifying students will work at Microsoft premises (Gurgaon, India) between 7th July and 15th July, getting a technical preview of Vista and competing in the testing and debugging competition for the same.
"This will change the way software testing and debugging is perceived in the country," said Mr. Ashwani Sharma, Microsoft India. Appin Knowledge Solutions, creators of world-renowned training software for information security and ethical hacking, is conducting the entire event.
